Add My Story

The offer is being made to you to add your story to this web site if you are willing to share your faith with others actively.

You should read the How to Use Tracts page first.

You can order some tracts. One I like is "A Man May Go to Heaven" from Gospel Tract Society, Inc. P.O. Box 1118 , Independence, MO 64051. (See below)

You can get a stamp made at Office Max for about $15 with JesusIsLord.org on it if you like. I stamp it vertically to the right of the dove.

You can hand write or put on the stamp you get made your name, the date you feel that Jesus came into your life and your age at that time.

(You'll understand why it's being done this way in a moment.)

Practice meeting people and taking an interest in them. Consider if you feel comfortable giving them the card.

Tell them your name, show them the web site name on the card and tell them if they click on "My Story" on the right of the opening page they can read how you came to Christ.

If they ask you what the date means, you can honestly say, "That's the day Jesus came into my life!"

Hopefully, this will make it easy for you to to get right to the point and stay on track. Also, the thought is that the probability of having duplicate entries will be low, so your entry will be unique and easy to find.

They should be able to find your story in two or three clicks.

If you would like, send me a digital photo (keep the data intensity low so dial-up connections can download it quickly without giving up) and your first name as people usually call you. If you send a photo, please make sure your arms and legs are covered and your shirt is fully buttoned. This is so as not to offend people from other cultures. There should be no country flags or uniforms as this could be a hindrance. If you do not want to send a photo, this is fine. Tell me the date you feel best represents when Christ came into your life and the age you were at that time and your story. If you want to hear from people, send me your email address as part of your story. It is best if it is an email address you will always have, like a Yahoo account (free). If you correspond with people, it is at your own risk, so please stay safe. Keep in mind the name of this web site and keep it holy and fully honoring Jesus. Please include your phone number, the church you attend, your pastor's name, and the phone number for your church. If you don't have a pastor, give me the name and phone number of someone who knows you well. It may become necessary to correct spelling and edit what you write, just as in letters to the editor of newspapers. It is the intent to honor all specifically Christian requests but it may be necessary to say no to some.

The thought is that your life can become very exciting as you see God give you opportunities. Just try and remember, the Gospel plus people generates decisions, for or against. You are the messenger, people decide, the Lord saves. So do your best to present the opportunity clearly, give the people time to come to Jesus themselves, and leave the results to God. If you get stuck, get on your knees and talk to God about it, and consult the Bible. You can talk to God in any position, but if you get on your knees, you will probably remember the asking, and trust more successfully that the answer will come.

If you see the person again, you can ask did they have a moment to look? Don't worry about it if they haven't. They probably still have the card. At the right moment, they'll take a look.

So far most of the material on JesusIsLord.org is old and there is no guest book and no request for people to say they have made a commitment to Jesus through the web site. The reason for this is so that no one has to fear that anything about them, even that they visited the site, can be known or will be published. The site is to be a totally safe way to investigate the person and claims of Jesus Christ and come to him voluntarily without a hint of pressure. This is the best way and really the only way.

Email your entry at eturner@jesusislord.org. Put in the subject line your name, date you feel Jesus came into your life and your age at that time and write your testimony in email, please do not put it in a file such as WORD or notepad which has to be virus-checked.

Father, I ask that you help each person who has read this to make the right decision, should they act on this or not, and help them if they do act on it, to write out simply what really happened to them and how wonderful it was and the comfort and joy there is in knowing your Son Jesus. And help them to follow through by following how you spoke to people, card in hand for busy lives.
